sys/sysmon
Real-Time Terminal & Process Monitor
An ultra-fast terminal process monitor and resource telemetry dashboard. Provides per-core CPU usage graphs, memory breakdown, active thread trees, disk I/O metrics, and process signaling.

Hardware Linear Framebuffer
The microkernel boots via standard Multiboot header, transitions the CPU to 64-bit long mode, programs the Interrupt Descriptor Table (IDT), and renders Kale UI widgets directly onto the physical display controller.

import "sys/sysmon/telemetry.kl" as telem;
import "libs/term/term.kl" as term;
fn main() -> int32 {
term.enter_raw_mode();
term.clear_screen();
while true {
let snapshot: telem.SystemSnapshot = telem.capture_metrics();
render_cpu_gauges(&snapshot);
render_process_table(&snapshot);
term.sleep_ms(16);
}
return 0;
}Deterministic command-line invocations to build, link native dynamic dependencies, and run automated regression tests:
kale build sys/sysmon/main.kl -o bin/sysmon.exe./bin/sysmon.exeGPG Key 1B917D4779A6102E • Continuous integration with automated symbol verification.
Real-time ASCII/Unicode braille sparklines illustrating CPU frequency scaling and thermal load.
Interactive hierarchical task manager with kill, pause, and priority adjustment controls.
Direct OS syscall querying without subprocess spawning or shell piping.
